Description: • Direct and support various pricing, valuation, experience and rate management functions. • Support the preparation of the annual business plan modeling information and provide financial projections that facilitate informed decision making. • Represent the Company on highly complex actuarial matters internally and externally. • Evaluate profitability and risk exposure through the use of a corporate actuarial model. • Provide key analysis and valuation of potential acquisitions. • Review annual statement actuarial items and review reinsurance agreements and mergers. • Apply GAAP and statutory guidance as it relates to actuarial items. • Support the completion of the annual independent audit and state financial examinations . • Assume additional managerial duties as appropriate to the position or as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer. Requirements: • •Bachelor of Science Degree • Certificate as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries or a Fellow of the Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries is preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office a focus on Excel and Word, Actuarial Software, Windows, and a basic understanding of network functionality. • Knowledge of actuarial formulas, methods, and procedures; of loss reserving and pricing methods; and a strategic planning and goal setting methods. • Skill in applying actuarial principles and techniques and in the use of actuarial computer applications.
