Description: • Direct and support various pricing, valuation, experience and rate management functions. • Support the preparation of the annual business plan modeling information and provide financial projections that facilitate informed decision making. • Represent the Company on highly complex actuarial matters internally and externally. • Evaluate profitability and risk exposure through the use of a corporate actuarial model. • Provide key analysis and valuation of potential acquisitions. • Review annual statement actuarial items and review reinsurance agreements and mergers. • Apply GAAP and statutory guidance as it relates to actuarial items. • Support the completion of the annual independent audit and state financial examinations . • Assume additional managerial duties as appropriate to the position or as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer. Requirements: • •Bachelor of Science Degree • Certificate as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries or a Fellow of the Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries is preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office a focus on Excel and Word, Actuarial Software, Windows, and a basic understanding of network functionality. • Knowledge of actuarial formulas, methods, and procedures; of loss reserving and pricing methods; and a strategic planning and goal setting methods. • Skill in applying actuarial principles and techniques and in the use of actuarial computer applications.
Description: Oxford Life Insurance is looking for a current law student to help ensure the company obeys all rules and regulations of state and federal regulatory agencies. Intern responsibilities will include: *Research and analyze statutes, clear reports, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes *Monitor and study national and state specific regulatory changes and report the possible effects on Oxford Life Insurance Company and its subsidiaries *Investigate facts and law of case for substantive compliance issues *Communicate and enforce company and department compliance policies and standards *File applications and policy forms with state regulatory agencies *Proof agent and consumer communications for adherence to state and federal regulations Oxford is an equal opportunity employer and a drug free environment.
