About the Local Search/Directory Listings team:

We provide listing syndication that improves the performance of local search and digital marketing strategies for U-Haul International. The Local Search team produces greater mobile and online visibility and increased in-store foot traffic and sales growth for the dealers and centers. We clean and control location data for use across maps, search engines, social networks, local pages, locators and directories.

Summary:

As the Local Search Auditor you will join a dynamic team, working in an ever-changing environment. You will be exposed to, and learn the drivers of a strong local search SEO program. This auditor position will provide key support to initiatives that impact the online performance of the organization. The right candidate will jump into this opportunity with both feet, providing an immediate value add to the Local Search/ Directory Listings team, and in return will gain knowledge and expertise in a growing segment of local search marketing.
  • Audit U-Haul’s location data by reviewing listing information on aggregator or publisher platforms (ex InfoGroup, Google, Bing, Yelp), by refining geo-codes and correcting address inconsistencies based on industries postal standards
  • Format location data into bulk listing files that can be syndicated to Google, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook, Foursquare, Yelp, Factual and Apple Maps on a monthly basis
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any data management discrepancies on publisher sites like inconsistent location data information (ex. Name, address, phone number, Iat long and website)
  • Prepare keyword level analytics for ROI forecasting models to evaluate data management and local search opportunities
  • Support any time-sensitive reporting or local search tasks needed by the Department
  • Requirements:

  • Must have 3-5 years of successful related work experience, a Associates Degree is a plus
  • Must be analytical thinker that possesses a propensity for understanding complex data sourcing issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing channels and how they work in tandem with one another
  • Experience with online listing citation management processes
  • Ability to perform duties and deliver in a deadline drive environment
