    The Social Media Department has an immediate opening for a Social Media Specialist. We are looking for a web savvy individual who has a flare for social media with the ability to help grow our brand in the online space, and nurture those supporters into customers.
    Under the direction of the Manager, the Social Media Specialist will connect with and encourage interaction between current and prospective customers and the company. You will have the opportunity to plan, develop, and maintain current and new social media communications efforts. The Social Media Specialist will manage presence in social networking sites, post on relevant blogs, and seed content into social applications as needed. You will serve as a representative for U-Haul International and its affiliates in the online community.
    Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the company’s social media strategy. Update content and maintain presence across all social media channels.
  • Formulate a comprehensive social media approach that is integrated with the company’s public relations and marketing endeavors
  • Promote social media tactics as a fundamental part of the public relations/communications media mix. Play integral role in the design and development of a comprehensive digital communications and social media strategy.
  • Support the design, development and maintenance of blogs on industry and company related events and news.
  • Oversee monitoring of the company’s profile and presence within social media universe.
  • Provide Updates and reviews to management to keep them advised about social media activities, policies, competition and achievements.
  • Stay informed about social media developments, emerging technologies and communications best practices.
  • Coordinate social media content development and campaigns with other communication projects and event calendar.
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of related business experience in social media marketing or the development of social media strategies on a corporate level.
  • Ability to blog and understand blogging best practices
  • Understanding of SEO
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • High organizational skills
  • Experience with Content Management Systems and web-based software
  • Team player
  • Basic video shooting, editing and online publishing experience
