Computer Support Specialist

Under the direction of the Team Lead, with technical guidance from the Supervisor, you will provide computer support to U-Haul corporate staff. This position will require physical activity such as moving, installing, connecting/disconnecting various hardware equipment. Candidate must be able to lift at least 50lbs and be able to crawl in tight spaces.

PAY:  $19/Hr with a chance to go to $20 after 90 days.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsibility in tracking and recording user problems to identify bottlenecks.

  • Report current status via the ticketing system (Cherwell), shift reports, and email.

  • The ideal candidate expectation will be to:

    • Assist with PC deployment initiatives and endpoint migrations.

    • Assist with user set up and permissions (access, shares, printer mapping, etc.)

    • Assist in elevating the knowledge of your peers and customers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience troubleshooting endpoint issues.

  • Experience with domain user creation and permissions.

  • Leadership skills and demonstrating ownership of issues by example is a must. 

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to communicate with end-users to ensure their issues are being resolved.

MINIMAL REQUIRTMENTS:

  • Entry level Helpdesk

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Able to perform all essential job functions, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting and manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
