Architectural Drafter-Designer
AMERCO Real Estate Company / U-Haul International Inc. is a National Commercial Developer seeking an Architectural Drafter - Designer with technical experience in architectural design for its Construction Department. As an Architectural Drafter Designer, you will use AutoCAD software to create architectural conceptual plans for new ground up and tenant improvement projects. The ideal candidate must have experience in architectural design, construction documents, understand and apply local zoning and building codes, addressing plan review comments, prepare conceptual site/floor plans and elevations.
Additional Duties:
- Review and redline design development drawings, comparing them to existing building plans and photos to determine accuracy.
- Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs
Requirements:
- Will have 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD
- Will have experience with developing Architectural plans for commercial projects.
- Will have general knowledge of architectural and structural components of buildings.
- Will have general knowledge of civil engineering / site design.
- Will be able to handle multiple projects at any given time.
- Can work at a relatively high level of production while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Will be open to new ideas and designs based on our customer’s needs and demands.
- College Degree preferred
