Mobile API Developer
This position is 100% remote.
Job Description:
The U-Haul Mobile team is looking for a web service API developer responsible for the development and maintenance of APIs to support both enterprise and customer-facing mobile apps. Our company has multiple lines of business within the moving marketplace including truck rentals, storage, Moving Help, and retail items to name a few. Our challenge? Develop mobile apps that make our customers’ experience with our services as remarkable as possible and also support our internal business needs. Responsibilities:
• Participate in the data and service layer of the mobile app development lifecycle.
• Develop, test, and deploy web service APIs for complex mobile apps.
• Code, debug, test, and maintain APIs to meet requirements.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the API.
• Support, troubleshoot, monitor and optimize APIs.
• Work with other U-Haul IT teams to design and implement quality software solutions.
• Conduct peer reviews of team members’ code.
Skills:
• At least 3+ years of software development experience and knowledge of the following:
• High proficiency in C#/.NET framework
• WebAPI/SOAP/REST
• OpenAPI and API documentation
• JSON
• SQL
• Git/Source Control
• Visual Studio
• Good working knowledge of networks and security thereof.
• Understanding of web service API design for mobile apps.
• Debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of the following is a plus:
• Unit/Integration Tests
• ELK Stack
• Kafka
• Postman
• Azure API Management
• Android and iOS Development
You will be successful in this role if you:

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technology. OR 3+ years of experience in API development.
