Assistant Moving Center Manager

As an Assistant Moving Centre manager, you will be responsible for supporting a dynamic team of customer service representatives, storage customer service representatives, hitch professional, U-Box representatives. The Assistant Moving Center Manager is a position, where to will need to wear many different hats, and uphold U-Haul policies and procedures, with keeping the business in the back of your mind.
External Hire:
• will become customer service rep for minimum of 15 days, to complete training and requires courses, then be promoted to Assistant Moving Centre Manager
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
• A minimum of 6 months of proven leadership skills.
• Ability to put customers first.
• A mechanical background (or willing to learn)
• A go getter attitude, and willing to adapt to instant changes within the company.
• Ability to seek out solutions to problems, and find solutions that will benefit the customer.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:
- Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.
- Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate. projects
- Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.
- Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
- Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Leadership experience in any form
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work a variety of shifts
Work Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.
Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion, such as, long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
