E-Learning Specialist
About the Role
The eLearning Specialist at U-Haul University (UHU) supports the creation, maintenance, and delivery of digital learning content used within U-Haul University. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys building learning content, working with authoring tools, and growing their skills in instructional design and learning technologies.
The eLearning Specialist focuses on content production, while developing an understanding of UHU processes and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, update, and maintain eLearning courses using UHU-approved authoring tools
Apply established templates, design standards, and style guidelines
Format course content, assessments, and interactions based on provided materials
Perform routine content updates and maintenance as business processes change
Assist with learning application setup and course configuration
Support Instructional Designers on assigned projects
Participate in SME meetings to capture information and implement updates
Required Qualifications
0–2 years of experience in eLearning, digital content creation, or a related field
Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Rise 360, Storyline, Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite)
Basic knowledge of instructional design or adult learning principles
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong written communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
Exposure to corporate or operational education environments
Basic multimedia, layout, or visual design experience
Experience implementing content based on provided outlines or SME input
Interest in growing into an Instructional Designer or Learning Application Designer role
