The Advertising & Marketing internal agency at U-Haul International is on the hunt for a talented Scrum Master to help take our Digital teams to the next level! 🚀
In this role, you'll work closely with the Director of Digital Marketing and Digital Design, helping to drive collaboration, streamline workflows, and champion agile best practices across our dynamic A&M team. We're looking for someone who’s not just organized—but passionate about project management and well-versed in the tools that make it all happen. You’ll play a key role in fostering strong connections between cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure we're always moving forward—together. Support the Team:
- Facilitate removal of obstacles and impediments
- Lead daily standup meetings
- Coordinate sprint planning to meet deadlines and properly allocate resources
- Manage sprint/project schedule
- Act as a coach and support the team
- Build relationships with business units to ensure all pertinent information is received
Lead Agile Transformation:
- Create an environment for open communication
- Mentor the team
- Provide regular and immediate feedback
- Motivate the team to meet their sprint goals
Project Lead:
- Assist with project forecasting
- Track project-level risks/issues
- Adapt project schedule with shifting priorities, demands, and timelines (Previously had Manage Sprint/Project Schedule -- this is already listed above)
- Monitor project resourcing and deliverables
- Maintain the scope, schedule, and ongoing communication within Azure DevOps
- Conflict resolution OR Mediate and correlate diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation
- Provide accuracy and completion for each digital request
Requirements:
- Experience working in Azure DevOps
- Experience facilitating meetings
- Experience mentoring and coaching project teams in Scrum and Agile processes
- Experience in managing a backlog that keeps work coming in and going out
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing or equivalent
Daily Duties:
Monitor Sprints to ensure:
- All work items are pointed appropriately
- Burndown is on track
- Individuals are not over capacity and if they are, coordinate a solution
- Work items are released to business units and follow-up for edits
- Work items are completed in the iteration they were assigned and if not, assess the reason why
- The digital teams update their assigned work items with the estimated time remaining
Each Iteration:
- Conduct an iteration planning meeting with the team upon the completion of each 2-week iteration. This will include ensuring all items are written up and linked together to clearly identify potential blockers, communication issues, etc.
- Monitor team velocity to forecast the number of items that can be done in the next iteration, taking into account time off or other factors
